Beside the usual Microsoft Teams App features like Tabs, Bot or Message Extensions, KanBo provides a deep integration with the Microsoft 365 Groups concept allowing a Board to become an integral part of the whole Team concept within Microsoft Teams. That includes using the same permissions and the same documents as well as supporting public and private channels concepts within KanBo. See more here.

The card blocker allows you to block cards with a specific reason. Create multiple blockers to make the blocked reasons explicit and to categorize your problematic work. There will be a new counter that indicates the blocked cards by you in the order of impact. Impact will be calculated based on the relations and due dates.

Especially on boards with lots of cards, the card view (Kanban) for all the cards does not always work out the best. That is why we are working now on the List view to see all the cards and work through them. List views will also have the option to show parent / child hierarchies.

The list of features that we are implementing into the next version of Gantt is long. Here some highlights: Show items in Gantt grouped by any possible dimension like list, user, label, etc., show/hide unscheduled items, use weekends ON/OFF, different strategies for reschedule dependencies, add or remove columns from the grid on the left and more. To comply with Microsoft requirements for their Cloud we have invested a lot to comply. Now when you are installing KanBo on your Microsoft 365 environment you register KanBo as an Azure Active Directory App and KanBo accesses the Cloud resources only through the Graph API. For more details please refer to this article.

Now in KanBo you can create views to see cards in different ways. You can create as many views as you and your team need. For a better understanding you can give views custom names to indicate what purpose they serve. There are 3 types of Card Views and 2 types of Page Views in this version of KanBo. You are able to write a comment / message in a card and additionally mark it for sending to an Email recipient. In combination with a public Email address of a card you are able to communicate with external users as they will reply to the card directly.

KanBo supports all touch gestures on all touch enabled devices now. Not only on mobile phones but also on tablets or big LCD screens like Microsoft Surface Hubs or Samsung Flips. See it in action in this video.

Microsoft is not providing any possibility to access information in Microsoft Teams or any other Microsoft-365-Group controlled App inside the Office 365 ecosystem. We thought we will provide it in KanBo. Feel free to invite people from your tenant or externals to KanBo Boards as Visitors. They will not be able to change anything – it is read only for them! Read more about it here.

With this feature you are be able to see all date related conflicts between cards that have relations like next-previous and parent-child. The new algorithms can detect and visualize these conflicts across Boards and with any depth of a recursive relation. Watch this video to see it in action.

Invite external users to participate in your board directly from KanBo by entering their email address. KanBo uses the Microsoft Guest infrastructure to invite external users. See more here.

Once you reach the limits of Microsoft Planner you can easily continue in KanBo. Since a KanBo Board belongs to the same Microsoft Team (Microsoft 365 Group) you can import all cards incl. all details from Microsoft Planner even documents and comments. In seconds you can continue in KanBo, even the user permission will be the same and you can also add a Teams KanBo Tab and remove the Planner Tab. See more here.

When attaching to an existing card all values of that card are visible in Microsoft Outlook now. When creating a new card out of an Email in Outlook now you can additionally select Card Templates and set Statuses right from Outlook. See new features of that version in this video.

If you are an architect or if you are in construction then you are probably working with Autodesk BIM360. KanBo has a bidirectional integration with BIM360 Issues, tasks, and documents. Now you can create a card in KanBo and attach it to a 3D model.
